We kept it low-key for Hud-buggins birthday this year. Of course we couldn't just bypass it without celebrating, but we knew that if we planned something then people probably wouldn't show up just like with Wesley's party. We know people are busy so we just decided to celebrate on our own. We wanted to make the bugs feel special!
Wesley and Hudson (and Mommy:) love any reason to celebrate so this was no exception. After my race Sunday morning we came home and put the girls down for a nap. I quickly got to work decorating so that it would be all fixed when they woke up. They were both so excited!!!
It's amazing what a few balloons and cupcakes will do.
Hudson had lots of help from big sister to open presents and they haven't stopped playing fighting over toys since. We were also VERY excited that Mimi and Papa moved their schedules around to spend the weekend with our birthday girl!
Today was a school day for the girls so we really didn't do anything exciting except for sing and leave the decorations up.
Here's the big birthday girl before school this morning.
Buggins-
You have such a sweet soul and you are such a joy in our lives.
Your first year and a half was pretty rough for all of us, but
you have quickly turned into a wonderful little toddler.
You are talking so much and I wish that I could wrap up these early years
and save them. You say the sweetest things and give the best hugs!
I love you so much!
