We loaded up the car and hit the road for San Angelo this weekend to celebrate Grandma's birthday.
Most of our time was spent with Aunt Jen, Uncle Ryan, Carly and P. They were gracious enough to let us ransack their home for a few days and we had a great time doing it!
I can't say that the trip started out great, but it got better as time went on. The past few times that we have traveled to San Angelo or Abilene the girls have ended up getting croup. It has to be something in the air, the dryness or the fact that they just love the hill country so much that they hate to go away:) Who knows. The trip going was rough! The girls had a long day at school and were not in the mood to be in the car. Our first clue that we should have just waited until Saturday morning to leave should have the fact that it took us 40 minutes to locate Hud's paci before leaving town. Meltdown city.
Anyway, we finally made it in Friday night and had a super fun weekend.
We had a late little cupcake celebration for Hud's b-day.
(If you live near San Angelo, you must try Cake in a Cup. Delicious!)
Played outside on the new trampoline.
Played on the swing set and even hit a few balls.
Hudson got into every toy Carly and P own and carried each one of them around the house,
and we ate our weight in good food.
This sweet little girl was crashed out before we even got to Brady this morning.
By the time we hit Burnet she was ready to be home!
We are recovering from the trip and counting our blessings that we have a wonderful family!
Thanks for the hospitality King Family!
